After a rare couple of weeks break in August I was back at it today to celebrate Kat & Nick’s big day at Kona Kai.
It was a hot one today but everything worked out (except the usual one very drunk guest demanding I either play her song or she will “make everyone leave the dance so I will fail” …..special…..
We were all outside today, the ceremony was on the sand
and the reception was on the lawn behind the pool
We did my new favourite thing today, you put a jar (or something) on the sweetheart (or head) table in front of the Bride & Groom
I announce that whichever jar gets the most money, that person gets to smash the cake in the other one’s face…. hence we call it the Cake Smash Jar. It is basically an alternative to the money dance, but people genuinely seem to get into it. Off course the bride always wins, but this rarely actually happens….
