Not a lot of people know that the first line of ‘September’ by Earth Wind & Fire is ‘Do you remember, the 21st night of September’ I was one of them until my bride and groom tonight, Jennie & Gerry told me. I made sure it was the first dance song tonight.
It was a really great evening (at The Prado). I worked with a ton of vendors I know as has been the case a lot lately. Trailbrook Photography, Miles Moynier, Father Joe and Haydee from Creative flowers (for the 3rd wedding in a row!!!) Julie was at another wedding tonight, but there was a co-ordinator, Brooke, and between us all we made sure the event ran smoothly.
I have several great memories of tonight, but the two that will always stick out for me, were using Chelsea Dagger by the Fratellis for the grand Entrance of the bride and groom (when Ipswich score, they play this!!) and Gerry taking off the garter. I played ‘My Love’ by Justin Timberlake, and Gerry had co-ordinated an entire dance routine for it. Priceless!!!
At the end of the evening, I did my ‘now legendary 🙂 ‘ Piano Man and as ever it went over really well, followed by the Dan Band’s classic version of ‘Total Eclipse Of The Heart’.
We went strong until midnight and it did not rain!!!!
