A busy weekend ended tonight for Julie and I, but in a great way with Chris & Michelle’s wedding at Hotel Solamar.  The ceremony was at Cuvier Park, where I provided music, with the help of Rev Chris Tuttle, who provided speakers and microphones !!

I had already set up the reception before the ceremony, so it was not stressful getting back to the Hotel, but I was very pleasantly surprised when I got there as the room looked awesome (my uplights helped of course !!). Check out the slide show and you will see

I have to say, Chris & Michelle’s boys, were just about the best behaved and most mature kids I have seen at a wedding, If I ever had kids, I would want them to be like them !!!!

The best man delivered a funny speech with props, but I got him back with my knee high special !!!

A busy weekend continued today for Nick & Kelly’s wedding at the Kona Kai resort.  We had a great night tonight with a great group of people.

There several guests in from Boston and they were treated to a great frist dance, which I recorded and played over the slide show below, it was their version of ‘The Evolution Of Dance’ as you will see if you watch it

I think my other highlight was watching everyone dance to Soulja Boy’s ‘Crank That’ which was priceless ………

The ceremony was inside tonight, then the guests went out on the patio for cocktail hour while the room was flipped then we came back info the reception, it all ran very smoothly.

A busy weekend of weddings came to end today for Jenn & David’s wedding at the Bohannon Estate.  Everything was outside tonight and the weather was perfect.

The site is beautiful, it was my first time working their, and definitely had some wireless issues, as I found out, but that asides, it was a perfect site for a wedding.  The wonderful Gina of Culinary Concepts was there so you know the food was excellent !!

Musically I had a blast tonight, as we went pretty much FUnky all night, with a few other songs mixed in, it was a great mix and everyone had a great time, we had to mellow things down a bit at the end, because of residential noise issues, but it was the wait to end the night with fireworks and Phish’s Loving Cup playing, the song ended right as the fireworks did !!

Back to the Admiral Kidd Club tonight for Julie and I to celebrate Carlo & Candace’s wedding   The weather was again fantastic tonight as was the whole evening.

We had Stephina doing photography, along with their photobooth which is always a lot of fun, Reverend Powers performed the Ceremony which was flawless as usual.  I also want to give a shout out to the ceremony musician, Tini, who was just about the best I have ever heard, with a great sounding system and voice, very enjoyable

We played a lot of Hip Hop tonight, and I got to learn a lot of new songs, ‘The Thizzelle Dance’ is now ingrained on my brain. !  The only slightly negative thing tonight was that the cake was delivered frozen, and as it thawed, it started to crumble.  Luckily Julie noticed and we did the cake cutting early, right before one side fell off !!!  At least we know who not to recommend going forward !!

I also had my dance lights and Uplighting tonight, and though I say so myself, they were stunning !!

Julie and I had another midweek wedding today at the Admiral Kidd Club !!  Today we were proud to work for Matt & Trisha who came all the way from Guam

Pastor Mike was the officiant so all was good there ……  Unfortunately there were a lot of people that did not show up, this really makes me angry,   almost 50% of the people supposed to come did not, absolutely disgraceful, just RSVP no !!!.  I have to add though, that those that were there had a great time, definitely a quality group of people and I did not hear one negative comment about the no shows !! Julie commented how Trisha had a permanent smile all night   Just a great couple

We had 2 definitive groups of guests tonight, one that liked more frank sinatra, motown and oldies the other preferring mostly eighties.  All these are fine by me, I believe you should mix it up at every wedding,  so that is just what we did !!

What also made it great tonight was how polite people were.  If only every guest realized that if you ask the DJ nicely to play a song instead of telling him you hate what he is playing (despite the dance floor being full) and demanding I play their song now or they will leave, that you are going to get more luck by being polite
