My only wedding this month, but what a great one it was !!  I was solo at the Thursday Club for Jake & Dana’s big day. Jake & Dana run a photobooth company out of Orange County called Photoboothsfor parties  we have worked with them before and they do a great job !!

Dana designed all the centrepieces and the cake topper, and add my uplights in and the room looked amazing !!

we had perfect weather today and a really great group of people who were a blast.  For the Grand Entrance , Chuck White (voice of the Rose Bowl, UCLA Bruins basketball and much more) emcee’d which was an honour (listen to the slide show audio) and from start to finish tonight was awesome !!

Friday December 30th 2011 Admiral Kidd Club Harbor Lounge

Our last wedding of the year and once again we were back at the Admiral Kidd Club !!  A good thing we love this place :-)

Tonight we were celebrating David & Heathers big day, and boy did the guests celebrate !!  I am sure a lot of them had a rough morning the next day !!  It was all good for me though, as they were a really fun crowd and they made my job easy :-)

We played some country tonight, but a lot of newer top 40 music, most of the guests were from out of town ( a lot from Kansas and Colorado) and they were out to party, which they surely did.

A special shout to to Mary, Heather’s mum who made the cake, Julie is a bit of a cake snob and she told me it was one of the better wedding cakes she had tasted !!

Our last wedding before our big party and trip to Africa and there is no-one we would rather have it with than Lisa & Songwit !!

The weather was great tonight and the views were stunning.  Tonight was my second wedding in a row of a Southwest Flight Attendant (luckily Southwest is our favourite domestic airline!!)

A good varity of music was played tonight, and everyone seemed to have a good time, I have to say, the dress Lisa changed into for dancing was stunning (not that her wedding dress wasn’t of course!!)

Sunday November 6th 2011 Loggia Room, The Prado

A small intimate wedding today in the Loggia Room at the Prado for Erik & Tiffany.

I had a shock when I pulled off the interstate to see traffic backed up, as I did not realize it was the race for the cure today and the park was a zoo, but I got lucky and found a spot, just as Tiffany & Erik did !!

Due to the rain, we had to move the ceremony inside, but as with Friday it was still perfect.

As ever the food was amazing and though it was a small crowd, everyone had a good time, with dancing, some pretty emotional toasts ( even I choked up at one point!!) and an obviously very close group of people, just a pleasure to work with !!

Tonight Julie & I were at Culy warehouse in the gaslamp for Meryl & Joseph’s big day.  Today was special for us, not only because we love Meryl & Joseph, but also because we are having our party at Culy in a couple of weeks, so were able to see how it all looked, and we were not disappointed :-)

There was a lot going on tonight, we had a quiz about Meryl & Joseph that everyone enjoyed, a great slide show . great food, Joseph singing, a same day edit, lots of dancing and more.  It was a non stop night from start to finish and I loved every minute of it !!

Julie and I were at the Island Club in Coronado today, it was, to put it mildly, a rainy day but that was the only negative to a fantastic night

We had a great dance floor all night long, too many highlights to mention them all, but among the highlights, the best man gave a great speech, Jennifer singing away to Bennie & The Jets and The best man introducing a new dance called ‘The Canoe’

Saturday October 29th 2011 The Abbey

Tonight was our first trip to the abbey for a while as we celebrated Katie & Timothy’s big day.

The abbey has a slightly different set up, with the dance floor off to the side, which is not ideal for dancing, but the room is great and the staff are very friendly so the experience s always a good one !!

I had my dance lights to add to the ambiance and add to that a couple that know how to have a good time and we made it a great night

The highlight of the night was undoubtedly the dance off, which included a shocked Rico (the photographer) as I read the pre picked participants names out, but he did a great job !!

A really great night, we were sad it ended !!

Saturday October 22 2011 Westgate Hotel

My only wedding this weekend, but what a great night it was !!  Tonight we were celebrating Michelle & Andy’s big day at the Westgate Hotel.

Not the easiest place to load in and set up (especially when you are doing ceremony reception dance lights and up lights !!) so I arrived super early to make sure everything was done (my assistant Clark got married today, so I was solo!!)

The room looked amazing and the whole night was brilliant (yes there were a lot of Brits in attendance, Michelle is Scottish) I even played the Scottish National Anthem :-)

The Grand Entrance was different tonight,  I introduced the Bridal Party (no names), they all came in then I introduced the Bride and Groom (again no names) to the start of their first dance, everyone started dancing and every ten seconds or so I introduced each couple by name and they left the dance floor until we were left with just Andy & Michelle

We only had 3 toasts, but they lasted 42 minutes (close to a record) luckily they were entertaining and it did not seem that long !!

Saturday October 15th 2011 MCRD

Our first visit to MCRD in a long time tonight as we celebrated Carolyne and Dahilo’s wedding

To say there was a lot going on tonight is an understatement, in addition to all of the usual wedding activities, we had Irene (Dahilo’s Cousin) Hula Dancing, Carolyne singing (see slide show!!) our previous client Chris (with his wife Maureen) made the slide show and the videographers did a same day edit.

We played almost as many songs for events as we did for dancing !!!

I had up lights out and supplied the projector and screen, so it was another busy day,  but as usual it was worth all the work as the room looked great!!
