Tonight Julie and were were at the El Cortez in downtown San Diego  to celebrate William & Evelyn’s big day.

It was the first time in a couple of years we had been here for a wedding, It always looks great

And they have a great patio deck for the ceremony

The Don Room looks great, but it is hard to take good pictures for an amateur photographer like me, so I apologize in advance for the poor quality of pictures inside

We loved working with Evelyn & William, and I got to learn some great new songs tonight, as you will see from the set list we played a lot of different songs tonight !!

I would say the Money Dance was a success !!

Sunday November 11th 2018 Longhouse, San Diego Safari Park

Tonight Julie & I were at the Tiger Longhouse at the San Diego Safari Park to celebrate Ryan & Melissa’s big day.

The ceremony site today was quite a distance from the Longhouse, but it looked awesome as always (it was by the Cheetah Enclosure)

The Safari Park is an amazing venue for a wedding, I love the way they have an Animal Presentation during cocktail hour where the guests all get to see animals close up. Julie got a great picture of a jumping Serval Cat!!

The reception room looked great also, I did not get a picture of a tiger, but they were around !! and the walk up to the reception area looked great also with some simple LED candle lighting

Tonight I was at Lomas Santa Fe for Jake & Caitlin’s big day

Great working with Brant Bender on photography tonight. Room looked great as always

One thing I would not recommend would be to put florals on the chandeliers on the dance floor, they were very low (came down to my shoulders and definitely impacted Brant’s pictures of dancing as it limited where he could take pictures from (just my opinion !!)

Tonight I was in the Arbor Terrace at the Grand Tradition in Fallbrook to celebrate Jennifer & Scott’s big day

I knew it would be an awesome day when I saw Stephy Wong was doing photography, she is always fun to work with.

They have some amazing views at this venue, from the ceremony

to waterfalls seemingly everywhere

even one behind where they put the cake

there is not one in the middle of the reception area though !!

And I found out that Scott knows all the dance moves to Bye Bye Bye – N Sync

It was also great to see Matt & Taylor , whose wedding I did last year at Rancho Bernardo Inn, always a good feeling when you see past clients!!

I wish we had a bit longer for dancing, but we were on a tight timeline tonight so we got in as much as we could, on what was yet another awesome night, I love my job !!

Tonight I was at Scripp’s Seaside Forum to celebrate Amber & Matt’s big day.

Awesome night tonight, and hopefully I was a big part of it

You can’t beat the view there for the ceremony

The room looked great

and we had an awesome sunset

and my uplights looked great on the Palm Trees (thank you to Tim Otto Photography  for this pic)

We also had a cake smash jar tonight, a new ish alternative to the money dance, I will be posting a blog on this soon, basically whichever Jar hets the most money (one for the bride and one for the groom) gets to smash the cake in the other ones face!!

And My Knee High Special went over well I think….just not for the person that caught the garter (again thanks to Tim Otto Photography for the pics!)

Tonight Julie and I were at Rancho Bernardo Inn to celebrate RObert & Erica’s big day

I love working at this venue as the staff are always so great to work with !!!

Ceremony site looked great (and their dog enjoyed it)

I had Uplights, Dance Lights and a monogram in the main Bernardo Ballroom

I probably had more abuse from guests than I have ever had tonight, but as I always say that is part of the job, I just smile and move on (although at the end when I stepped away to break down and a guest decided to put on another song and turned the volume up all the way and damaged my speaker (I am having it repaired this week) my smile was tested !!
